Where were you born?

I was born in Northridge, CA - but I grew up in Hesperia.

How did you get into tattooing?

My brother Nikko actually got me into tattooing, he used to tell me when I was in high school I should take art classes so he could teach me how to tattoo when I graduated. I would just say "nah thats you're thing not mine" - I should have listen because I eventually got interested in art and am now tattooing.

When did you get into tattooing?

I started tattooing in 2001 at Black Anchor Collective. I pretty much started my apprenticeship when I was helping my brother at Ignition Tattoo.

What are your favorite tattoos to do and why?

I really like doing realism. I guess you could say that realism is my favorite kind of style, but then again I really like traditional tattoos.

When did you start at Black Anchor Collective?

I was living in San Fernando going to art school and my brother ended up opening Black Anchor Collective in 2011. He said I could start my apprenticeship, so from there I moved back to Hesperia and started working towards tattooing.

What are you greatest accomplishments in the industry?

I guess you can say my greatest accomplishment in the industry has been the art show I did in NYC at Sacred Gallery. It was a two man show with artist Matt Buck and it was a great experience.

When did you start painting and what do you like painting?

I started painting in 2011 around the same time I started tattooing. I really like to paint realism and love the tromp l'oeil and still lifes. I would like to start doing more figurative work in the near future.

What would you like to have happen in the future of your career or the industry as a whole?

I would like to travel more with tattooing, do more conventions, guest spots stuff like that. I would like to start showing my paintings in more galleries both in and outside the country. Pretty much keep doing what I'm trying to do right now!
